Collegiate Real Estate Services Group set to attend ACUHO-I Annual Meeting

Collegiate Real Estate Services Group's management and marketing teams will be attending the 2009 ACUHO-I Annual Meeting.

PRLog - July 7, 2009 - Collegiate Real Estate Services Group will be attending the Association of College and University Housing Officers’ Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland June 27th through June 30th. Collegiate Real Estate Services Group’s Senior Vice President of Management, Cole Heard, and Director of Marketing, Heidi Vaughn, will be representing Collegiate. Ms. Heard and Ms. Vaughn will be speaking with housing officials in attendance about Collegiate’s new management and marketing initiatives, including the recent technological advancements launched at the Collegiate properties.  These new initiatives include touch screen leasing kiosks, paperless accounting procedures, and new website capabilities.

Ms. Heard explained the need for these technology upgrades at student housing properties, “As student housing operators and developers, Collegiate has been able to research students throughout the nation. We’ve found that students want convenience when they lease an apartment, whether they live on-campus or off”. Ms. Heard emphasizes the need for an interactive property website as the most important marketing tool in student housing. Collegiate recently launched their new website (www.freshstudentliving.com) and has seen a 13% increase in phone traffic over last year’s leasing trends.

In addition to these new marketing tools, Ms. Heard will discuss new residence life programs that are being launched at universities and colleges. Ms. Heard spent the first half of her career in on-campus housing and believes that the on-campus community is a great resource to determine new residence life programs and property procedures. “We view all of our properties as an extension of the partnering university or college. As a result, we want to have creative residence life programs that focus on the institution’s residence life mission.”
