– Local business owner Peggy Douglass is on a S.O.S. mission to “Save Our Skin!” this summer with her beauty line of handcrafted soaps, lotions and creams.
After experiencing bouts of skin irritation herself, she began tinkering with the idea of producing her own soap instead of using commercial soaps that were on the market. She soon discovered that her handcrafted soap began to help heal and soften her skin. Wanting to share this discovery with others, and nearly a decade after her first bar, Honeysuckle Soap was born.
Every bar is loaded with sweet honey and all natural Vitamin E to soften, smooth and heal skin, and the over 20 different varieties of soap have yummy ingredients with high quality, natural oils like mango butter and coconut.
