Berghaus have always been at the forefront of modern, technical and effective mountainwear. An exciting new addition to selected mountain jackets is Berghaus's new foldaway full hood - providing the benefits of a full mountain hood (including volume adjuster, and wired peak), but with an innovative foldaway system when the hood is not required. All three of the jackets below incorporate this new feature.
The Men's Yala Peak is Berghaus's all-round, all-pleasing mountain jacket - providing all the features you'd expect, and more. As well as the new foldaway hood, there are pit zips for additional venting and an abundance of pockets - four external, one internal. Designed to repel water from any source, the Yala is made from 3 layer Gore-Tex Pro Shell - the toughest Gore-Tex technology for hard wear and extreme conditions. Marrying this with an internal double storm flap, water resistant zips and articulated sleeves, the Yala Jacket is a force to be reckoned with.

For Gore-Tex Performance Shell enthusiasts, the Mera Peak is a superb weather jacket with more comfort than the Yala. While retaining the breathable and highly waterproof properties of the softer Performance shell, a lining of dry mesh and nylon has been introduced for the wearer's additional comfort. In short, the Mera retains all the features of the Yala, but with a classic shell and a more reasonable price of £215.99 - a bargain for a fully waterproof & technical mountain jacket.

Replacing the Paclite Trek is the all-new Paldor Peak. Available at £161.99, this Gore-Tex Paclite embodies both reasonable pricing and lightweight wear. The Palador also packs into a provided stuff sac. Paclite qualities aside, the jacket features three external pockets (two of which, at side of jacket, can be used for venting) and an external double storm flap.

The three Peak jackets are all new and updated for the Autumn/Winter 2009 season, introduced in a variety of strong colours - Jet Black, Dark Mineral Blue, Tango Red and, exclusive to the Mera Peak, the vibrant Gold.
