Family Law Clinic helps over 400 people

PR Log (Press Release) – Jul 06, 2009 – Few people know that the Legal Aid structure in South Africa, does not help people with custody, maintenance, divorces, in fact just about every civil matter. To this fact, one must add the lack of general understanding of human rights in the communities. Quite apart from that, the average middle class person, faced with a sudden downturn in salary, or retrenchment, would find the R1000 an hour charged by the average Attorney beyond their reach.

Some of the bitter stories we have heard would bring tears to the hardest heart, tales of child neglect, abuse and sexual assault.  Wrecked homes and constant verbal and emotional abuse reduces self esteem, family values and principals.

Our organisation is there to assist with this painful process in the most humane manner, sympathetic staff,  with human understanding, who have themselves suffered through similar traumatic events are there to assist and guide.
