Sink Faze, the movie, has been nominated and is a finalist at the International Film Festival Ireland, Tipperary 2009. Sink Faze is coming off recent festival wins at the Honolulu International Film Festival and the Mexico International Film Festival, as well as, a successful screening as a finalist at the BLUE Ocean Film Festival. The movie was also recently honored by being featured in the first of a series of monthly cultural art showcases known as RAW: Natural Born Artists in Los Angeles, CA.

Sink Faze is a low budget film and is the first feature of award winner director Grant W. Graves. Grant said, “I am so appreciative of the growing interest in the film. Sink Faze was a labor of love for the sport of freediving and so many people contributed to make this possible. Considering how difficult the effort was, I am so thankful the film is getting so much attention.”
The International Film Festival Ireland, Tipperary 2009 will be taking place September 6 – 12, 2009 at the Knocklofty Country House Hotel in the city of Clonmel. The Knocklofty Country House Hotel was built in 1644 and encompasses an extensive estate. The hotel will host film screenings and serve as the hub of the event.
Freediving is a sport that challenges athletes to perform while holding their breath underwater in disciplines for maximum time, depth, and distance. Athletes have reached times in excess of eleven minutes, distances over two football fields, and depths greater than seven hundred feet.
