New landlord Geoff Truss and his partner Dawn have many years experience in the hospitality industry, having owned their own pub in the past. Geoff is a trained chef and is keen that The Royal Red Gate regains it's reputation for excellent food. He is concentrating on local fresh produce, bought from local farmers, to get the freshest seasonal ingredients, with the fewest food miles.
New pub company Red Kite Inns, based in Buckinghamshire, have partnered with Marston's to return this landmark pub to it's former glory. Red Kite Inns is an offshoot of Project 90, a management company who have operated successfully in the pub sector for over 25 years. They have a wealth of industry experience and are excited by the challenge that faces them at The Royal Red Gate.
Operations Manager Chris Shaw says "We are convinced that Geoff and Dawn are the right people to put The Royal Red Gate back on the map. Their expertise is in offering good, fresh food at a reasonable price, and this site, with so much history, is ideal for them. We believe that this site has a great future in their hands."
