International Association of Medical Tourism today announced their new name—International Wellness and Healthcare Travel Association (IWHTA)—accompanied by a re-branding initiative to present a unified approach to the Wellness and Healthcare Travel Industry. The association’
“Its new name, International Wellness and Healthcare Travel Association, clearly distinct from other associations in the industry, shows that we are broadening our membership services but still focused on patient’s needs to get the higher quality affordable and accessible medical treatment.” President of the association Naresh Jadeja said. “We’re proud to say that this is an organization of members with a purpose that goes well beyond self-interest, and that looks out for its own”.
The name change reinforces the Association as an integrated Association, reflects the organization's long-term strategy to advance its international presence, and more closely aligns and strengthens the identity of its core programs: Helping Hospitals to achieve accreditation and higher standards of safety and quality, Involve more resources for its ‘Donate a Surgery’ program and truly assist people to have access to better, more affordable care and get better value for their health care dollars.
International Wellness and Healthcare Travel Association along with its members, is taking an initiative to elevate safety and quality of patient care at all destinations throughout the world. Also with the weekly newsletters, media releases, articles, global healthcare conferences, events and trade shows IWHTA has evolved as an integral part of medical tourism industry by the passing time.
Consistent with the corporate name change, International Wellness and Healthcare Association will now be found on the Web at www.iwhta.org. This does not bring any change to its mission, the mailing addresses, contact numbers, and the services availed.
