The Recently Passed Cash For Clunkers Bill Has Support At Downtown Nashville Nissan

The program that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is calling the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) passed the senate, and now has been signed into law by President Obama.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Jul 04, 2009 – This program allows consumers to receive up to a $4,500 voucher to trade in
their gas guzzler for a more fuel efficient new vehicle. The bill has been supported locally by Downtown Nashville Nissan who is currently waiting for details to implement the program. Check their website at http://www.nashvillenissan.com for details as they emerge. The dealership has several different models of cars, trucks, minivans, and SUV’s that can offer customers the improved gas mileage that is needed to qualify for the rebate.

Important things to know are: Your vehicle must be less than 25 years
old at trade-in. It is good only for the purchase or lease of a new vehicle. Generally, trade-in vehicles must get 18 miles or less MPG.
Large pick-up trucks and cargo vans have different requirements.
You do not need a voucher, Downtown Nashville Nissan will
apply a credit at purchase.
Trade-in vehicles must be registered and insured for a full year preceding
the new purchase. Vehicles traded-in will be destroyed.
It is expected the program will start in August and run through November1.

To see if your vehicle qualifies you may call Downtown Nashville Nissan toll free at 1-800-443-9645. For on-site inspections the dealership is located at 25 Vantage Way Nashville TN. 37228
