Jul 03, 2009 – Photographing beautiful daylight headshots and beauty shots has never been easier
at Eagles Nest daylight photo rental studios. New York City's Eagles Nest daylight photo rental studio has always been the photo rental studio of choice for daylight photographers whether it be fashion, still life or headshots. With the wrap around windows the daylight soaks into the white space and bounces everywhere to create a luminous glow to your imagery. So how exactly do you create these beautiful natural light daylight images at Eaglesnest Studios? First it goes without saying that you start with a beautiful model and a great make up artist. Since you will be shooting a natural light image condusive to lifestyle, model portfolio photography you will want a light and natural style of make up. Nothing too heavy or dramatic here. Best thing is to use the "KISS" system or "keep it simple stupid". Just a light natural make up that covers the blemishes, touches up the eyes, glosses over the lips should do fine. Just enough make up to clean up the skin and face but not to much to compete with the models natural beauty. After that just add daylight to your photograph. You have several options on how you can manipulate the sun to get your desired effect. #1. You can use direct sunlight. This can be a hard sharp light and be very effective if used late in the day when the angle of the light is lower in the sky. Too much over head (high noon) will create deep eye shadows and a not so pleasant "raccoon" look. Direct sunlight will create hard dark shadows that can be filled in or lightened by using either white foam core reflector cards, silver reflectors or for a warmer tone a gold card. #2. Diffused daylight through a silk. At Eagles Nest daylight photography rental studio we have a 1/2 stop Chinese silk that slides across the south windows that can diffuse the hard sunlight into a soft (pardon the pun) silky light that wraps around the subject and bounces around the room. This creates a soft yet still crisp light that is perfect for your headshots or beauty photography. Again you can use your white, silver or gold cards to bounce more light into the shadows if you wish. #3. Back lighting your subject while using the 1/2 stop Chinese silk is a very nice effect. Your subject will be rimmed with light and be side lit on both sides of the face. Again you will want to fill in the front with bookend foam core flats to reduce the contrast between the front of the face and the sides. #4. Work the flat open shade. At Eagles Nest Studios you have alot of options for your daylight photography setups. Eaglesnest Studios has south west daylight so you get great light all day long. We also have a full cyclorama where the light comes in hard on the cyc. If you put your subject in the non lit shade portion of the cyclorama you get a nice even flat daylight photograph that is perfect for beauty photography. #5. Go out on to our large outdoor terrace at Eaglesnest daylight photo rental studios. One last great option for great daylight photos at Eagles Nest daylight rental studio is the large outdoor terrace. You can get great headshots and beauty shots with an urban background of beautiful New York city architure as your backdrop. From Eagles Nest's outdoor terrace you can get sunset and Hudson River views or shoot east down the street for the urban backdrop. As you can see, the sky is the limit when shooting at Eagles Nest daylight photo rental studios in the heart of New York City. These are just a few of the unlimited options that shooting at Eagles Nest daylight photo rental studios in mid town Manhattan can provide for you. The important thing is to just explore with your camera and unleash your creativity while discovering your perfect photo and have fun!
