(Saelig) (www.saelig.com) has introduced Model RTR-5W, a wireless ambient data logging system that provides fully configurable, multi-point recording and reporting of temperature, humidity and other parameters within hospital, medical facility, and laboratory environments. The system is fully compliant with FDA21 CFR Part 11, with compliance assured by its integral security (password protected software operation and data manipulation protection); encrypted and password protected data files; software operations recording; and audit trail history. Recorded data are automatically downloaded and archived to a server without operator intervention.

The system allows individually set upper and lower warning limits for each measurement point.  When any limit is exceeded, the RTR-5W Data Collector originates a warning notification message that may be transmitted to up to five different e-mail addresses, cell phones or pagers. Each warning notification contains the measurement point location and out-of-tolerance reading. Since Model RTR-5W connects directly to a LAN and contains its own SMTP client, no PC is required for the notification process. The integrated web server within Model RTR-5W allows recorded data to be viewed via LAN, WAN or by Internet-access –from anywhere in the world. Users can view current readings and historical values, in either tabular or graphical format, using common web browsers. RTR-series Data loggers, Data Collectors and Repeaters can be configured into almost any arrangement, from up to 100 meters distance from the base station, to reliably monitor and record areas ranging from a single wing, up to a multi-building campus –all controlled from a single, centralized location.

Model RTR-5W Data Loggers are independent, battery-operated recording devices, with parameters continuously recorded at the measurement point, even in the unlikely event of a power or network outage. Once normal conditions are restored, data can be downloaded without gaps or loss of information. RTR-5W Series enables the user to check data, start and stop recording and collect data on-site without having to retrieve the units. An optional LAN card allows for connection to an available wireless network, removing the burden of cables and wiring.
