Another Lost Voice in the Blogosphere

Why one photographer decided to start his own food, travel and photography blog. In this, an over crowded, over saturated medium.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul 02, 2009 -
CHADDS FORD, PA  – www.PassportFoodie.com - July 2nd 2009 -- This week Taylor Young, Photographer and Writer announced his new travel, photography and food blog, which can be found at www.passportfoodie.com. The name was chosen to encompass both of his passions. The word passport obviously imparts visions of travel and foodie to express Taylor’s love of food.  The photography is all his own and links to his personal photography website, www.tayloryoungphotography.com.  Although, many of his photos will also be displayed on the blog itself.

When asked why he decided to dive into the already crowded blogosphere, Taylor said, “I travel around with a journal and everywhere I go, I write down what I see, what I did, who I spoke to and that sort of thing.  It felt only natural to communicate those thoughts and ideas to the rest of the world via the Internet and with www.passportfoodie.com I can share them.”

He added, “Unlike the other food blogs out there, mine will not only concentrate on the writing, but on the photos as well. I have never proclaimed that I’m the best food writer, but I’m hoping my food photos will set this blog apart and create a loyal following.” www.passportfoodie.com has already received a lot of attention and people are taking note, fast.

When asked what it was about his site that made it stand out Taylor said, “I take my huge, professional camera into every restaurant I go to and I take quality photos of the food.  I don’t care what the manager says, or how many stars the restaurant has. It’s my mission to communicate, via digital images, what the food looked like, what the lighting was like, etc. I’m not just taking my point and shoot into a place and taking bad photos, which later are published to my blog, like so many other food bloggers out there. Without good photos, how can anyone possibly get an accurate description of the food?”
