The Tanksetter FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Jul 02, 2009 – Princeton, MA: Rock and roll is great on the radio, but not when it comes to portable propane tanks! The Tanksetter® will keep propane tanks stable and upright during trips to and from the filling station.
Propane cylinders are notorious for tipping over and rolling around in a vehicle. This creates a number of safety hazards. A loose tank can damage fragile items in the vicinity, the tank itself can be damaged, including the overflow protection devise (OPD) inside the cylinder, and most importantly, a tipped tank prevents the pressure relief valve (safety valve) from operating properly. A rolling cylinder is also annoying and distracting to the driver as it crashes loudly from one side of the vehicle to another! Every list of safety tips for proper handling of propane tanks includes instructions to keep tanks secure and upright, in transportation and storage. The primary reason this is so important is that the safety valve, built in to the cylinder valve, is designed to release propane vapor if the pressure inside the tank exceeds safe limits, which could happen if the tank is left in direct sunlight or a closed vehicle. A cylinder is on its side will still vent if necessary, but it will release liquid propane, which is much more dangerous. The Tanksetter® is a very simple device that attaches easily to the ring on the bottom of most 5 to 40 lb tanks. Two eye bolts attach through the holes in the base ring, keeping the tank secure, stable, and upright. The Tanksetter™ has been thoroughly tested for strength, rigidity and stability in many situations and will withstand continued use for many years. The Tanksetter® is also a great addition to many propane powered devices that use an unsecured tank, such as camp stoves, portable grills, tank top heaters, turkey fryers, fish cookers, mosquito traps, propane campfires and fire pits. Duke Creek Outdoors LLC is located in central Massachusetts. The Tanksetter® is patented and is manufactured and shipped from our production facilities in Massachusetts.
