Home users are quickly finding computing problems unbearable as the lagging economy constrains budgets according to computer support company, ProvenPowerful, Inc.
“I rarely use the computer, but when our home computer suddenly stopped working a few days ago, it was an absolute nightmare. I lost photos of my youngest son’s first steps, my kids couldn’t complete their online homework, and I missed an important deadline because I didn’t get to my email in time,” says Belma Galeano a local Omaha resident and mother of three.
“You then go to the store and are just overwhelmed by the cost to buy a new computer or get it fixed” says Mrs. Galeano.
It’s not surprising, considering the cost of a new computer along with software can reach over $1000, while the alternative repair option carries a hefty average price tag of $100 per hour. This figure doesn’t reflect the additional loss of time or irreplaceable family photos and other documents caused by a computer crash.
“The good news is that steps can be taken to prevent most computer problems,” says Keith Fix, founder & CEO of ProvenPowerful, Inc. “Just like you take your automobile in for regularly scheduled maintenance, there are service providers out there who will optimize your computer inexpensively and keep it running like new.”
“Whether we realize it or not, we depend so heavily on our home computers that we can’t afford to be without them and traditional options just don’t make financial sense anymore,” says Mr. Fix.
