Bridal Boot Camp
This is the second Bridal Boot Camp offered by the CVB. “The first Bridal Boot Camp was held in February of this year and it received positive feedback from both the attendees and the local vendors. After hearing that, we decided to host another boot camp before the Fall bridal season arrives,” states Kimberly Weaver, Special Projects Manager.
The Bridal Boot Camp is a chance for brides to learn about planning a wedding locally in Douglasville and how the CVB can assist. The educational session will give attendees basic information to plan their wedding along with a chance to meet and speak with local vendors one on one. To continue with the success of the first Bridal Boot Camp the CVB decided to add two special elements to the workshop. During this event attendees will experience a bridal show presented by Brides Atlanta of Douglasville, GA and hear from a guest speaker from The Knot. According to their website, The Knot is the Internet’s most-trafficked one-stop wedding planning solution. It has quickly become America's leading wedding brand reaching out to millions of engaged couples each year through our award-winning website, books, magazines, and broadcast offerings.
Douglasville is a great place to host events and weddings. According to Kimberly Weaver, “Holding a wedding locally is not only more cost-effective but it also promotes the community wide campaign of think local, shop local, which appeals to everyone in the current economic situation. Douglasville provides a great alternative to the cost of more expensive events in other parts of the metro region without sacrificing grandeur or elegance.”
