July 1, 2009 - PRLog -- Greenworks, a leading UK supplier of renewable energy products for domestic and commercial use, has announced a brand new partnership with WPL to supply cutting edge, energy-saving rainwater harvesting products.

COVENTRY, UK- Greenworks is proud to announce a new partnership with sewage treatment and rainwater harvesting expert WPL.

WPL’s RainRetain rain water harvesting systems collect rain from the roofs of domestic and commercial properties and then filter it for use. Collected rainwater can be utilised to fill washing machines, wash cars, water the garden during dry periods and flush toilets - up to 50% of the mains water used in the average household could be safely replaced with water collected with a rainwater harvester, reducing mains water consumption down to 80 litres of water per person per day.

Greenworks will be stocking WPL’s Premium RainRetain rain water harvesting system, wish is available in two types - one for home and garden use and one purely for outdoor use.

WPL has a proven track record within the industry and has been developing water re-use and wastewater treatment technologies for almost twenty years. Each of its rainwater harvesting products is designed to BS8515 standards and can contribute towards a 6 star rating within the government’s Code for Sustainable Homes.

A strong focus on quality and compliance ensures that all of WPL’s systems are designed to work within the guidelines of, and exceed all, present and proposed British and European standards.

Malcolm Gough of Greenworks said, “Greenworks chose WPL as its leading rainwater harvesting solutions supplier due to the company’s excellent product design, the tank comes delivered in two half’s, this saves space on site, its non requirement for concreting in can save the installer about £400 and its click to water mains device stops the tank filling with freshwater in dry periods, stopping water wastage are just some of the products special features.”
