Signs that the property market in Bristol is recovering is gaining momentum following details of sales at Crest Nicholson’s Harbourside development in Bristol.

Strong sales over the last two quarters has resulted in two of the current phases, called Halyard and Lanyard, being sold out leaving only seven stock plots left for sale on the Tiller and Keel phases.

Vicky Dudbridge from selling agents King Sturge said: “This is great news and clearly shows that buyers are returning to the market.”

Evidence that the property market is showing signs of recovery can also be found when comparing the sales figures from 2008.

In February to April 2008 Crest sold seven properties at Harbourside where as 26 properties were sold over the same period this year. In May to July 2008 two properties were sold but this figure has already been passed with seven properties having been bought to date already.

Vicky added: “Confidence has definitely returned to the property market and we are seeing more and more visitors to the marketing suite here at Harbourside.

“We’ve seen an increase in the number of people involved with chains and shows that the second hand market is on an upward trend.”

The increase in buyer enquiries and sales has resulted in Crest bringing forward the release of its next phase. Called Ensign, it comprises 27, one and two-bedroom apartments and includes a selection of spacious, bay-fronted properties that boast stunning views directly across Bristol’s historic floating harbour. With prices starting at just £235,000 for stunning water views these are expected to be extremely popular.

Vicky said: “We’ve had to bring forward the release of Ensign House due to the demand we’re now experiencing.

“Ensign is a stunning selection of prime waterfront apartments that are unlike anything else available in the city. The views alone set this phase apart from anything else and makes it a truly once in a lifetime opportunity to secure a property overlooking the floating harbour.”

For further information on the development please call 0117 908 8888 or visit http://www.harbourside.co.uk . Alternatively please visit the marketing suite on Cathedral Walk which is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
