Navy Veteran and Former Submariner’s Wife Enlightens Readers with Her Experiences as a Military Dependent

Uncasville, CT , -- Just in time for the Subfest on the Submarine Base in Groton , Connecticut , author MJ Allaire releases her latest book, My Blissful Life As a Submariner’s Wife.  

Written for military dependents or women facing divorce, Allaire’s story is one that will make you laugh and cry as it enlightens you to just a few of the struggles and challenges of today’s military family.  Allaire touches on her life prior to joining the US Navy before delving into some of her adventures raising children as a “single parent” in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii while her husband is away on deployment on various Naval submarines.  After moving from Hawaii to Connecticut with her husband and children she not only found herself adjusting to life in an entirely different environment, she also found herself face-to-face with a life-altering decision.  Allaire takes some of her less-than-favorable life experiences and turns them into positive life lessons as she stresses the importance of positive thinking and never giving up when the going gets tough.    

After being married to a submariner for nearly twenty years, MJ Allaire decided to share her life as a dependent wife and mother with other military wives who might be facing similar difficulties concerning their active duty spouse’s deployments as well as women facing divorce.  

Her message: You are not alone with your struggles and given enough faith and determination, any challenges in life can be overcome.
