Forte Interactive Client Receives Outstanding Website Reward

West Palm Beach, FL- For Release- The National Association of Sports Commissions awarded the 2009 Website of the Year Award to the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, a Forte Interactive client.  PalmBeachSports.com includes custom web applications such as an online grant application, content management tools, and a comprehensive community events calendar.  The site was chosen for the award based on its marketability to the community through its ability to solicit corporate sponsorship and new memberships, as well as interact with the sports enthusiasts of Palm Beach County.

The website provides PBC Sports Commission members and non-members alike the ability to post county-wide sporting events to the community calendar as well as search for sporting events by category.   The intent was to create one central database of all sports activities in Palm Beach County.  The website also provides online access to apply for grants, become a member online, and purchase tickets for the Sports Commission’s events.  The site is a great resource for the local Hospitality industry by providing the ability for out-of-towners to access discounted hotel information based by region. For the convenience of out-of-town visitors, each event listing displays hotels sorted by proximity to that unique event.
