SEDONA, AZ--There's a killer loose in the small village of Sedona, AZ, and Chief Hawk has never seen anything like it before. It's so gruesome, he's threatening to close down the hiking trails. But wait is this fact or fiction? It's the story of "The Sedona Devil Chicken!" a parody of a famous movie. It's the brainchild of Sedona resident and local appraiser and real estate broker, Alex Nebelsky. He's also the writer, director, editor, composer, and lead actor(s) of the story. He and his brother, Nick Nebelsky (also stars in the production) have co-produced the CD and it's now available.
"The Sedona Devil Chicken" is not your run-of-the-mill audio book. This entertainment genre is called "Radio Theater" and it has a lot of company. Remember those old shows like The Lone Ranger, The Shadow, and the Green Hornet? They got their start on radio; it was like watching a movie with your eyes closed. People were glued to the radio to see what would happen next. "The Sedona Devil Chicken" is a parody of the movie JAWS (the author's favorite movie). And instead of a great white shark terrorizing a Cape Cod beach, this story is set in the high desert! Imagine the premise of a nine-foot chicken causing wide spread panic and chaos. It's truly an entertaining and enjoyable listening experience.
The story has everything including rich dialogue, realistic sound effects, original music (some of which is composed by Alex), and of course memorable characters; comprised of family members and his tennis buddies. From a sneezing deputy sheriff to a sexy cryptozoologist there's something for everyone. It's "radio theater" at its best.
