Probation Officer goes straight

A former Probation Officer who had tea with Rosemary West and Myra Hindley is setting the publishing world alight with his books and new magazine
 
June 29, 2009 - PRLog -- Former Probation Officer John Riddle is launching a new colour magazine in the Durham Tees Valley Area on 1st August with a theme of "nostalgia". John who worked in both Frankland Prison and the notorious "H" wing at Durham where he had tea with Rosemary West and Myra Hindley has launched a new magazine called "The Compass".
John formed Cormorant Publishing in 2008 and since that time has encoruaged more than 26 local authors in to print.
This new venture is supported by local business and has a theme of nostalgia covering everything fro the demise of the coal industry to the Northern Budgerigar Society and all points in between.
"People have an appetite for nostaligia and all I am doing is filling a hole in the market" said John
The Compass Magazine will be launched at the Raby Arms in Hart Village, nr Hartlepool on 1st August and has already attracted advertisers from as far afield as the Canary Islands.
"Promoting the north east is a 24/7 operation and if I can bring more business to the area especially with the 2010 Tall Ships Race coming to Hartlepool next year - well I will achieved my goal" explained John.
the Compass Magazine published by Cormorant Publishing Hartlepool will be on sale as from 1st August priced £1.00p
