As polo in Sussex becomes increasingly popular, local clothing brand Stickhedz launches to appeal to the new generation of players
The South East has seen the biggest take up of polo in the UK and according to the sports governing body, the Hurlingham Polo Association, over the past few years an extra 1,000+ people have taken up polo to bring the number to 3,253*. Accommodating some of these extra people in the South East are 8 clubs with 5 emerging recently and 4 of these being in West Sussex.
New Sussex clothing brand Stickhedz aims to change polo fashion to reflect the actual needs of these new club players, grooms, trainers and fans: affordable fashion they will want to wear on and off the pitch.
Stickhedz launches their new range at FHM polo Club near Burgess Hill on the 27th June. Sam Morris-Warburton director of Stickhedz said, “We’re expecting a good crowd to come and enjoy the party. Stickhedz Polo Apparel is inspired by the laid back vibe of polo in Sussex and the fresh new approach this new generation of polo fans brings to polo fashion and the way polo sees itself.”
