FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Jun 29, 2009 – The bi-monthly Hair Clinic program packaged by the Recare Hair Institute in conjunction with Natures Gentle Touch hair-care brand has been commended by consumers for the opportunity it availed them to gain deeper insights on their hair care needs. Recare, owners of the Institute is a leader in African skin, hair and personal care. It researches, produces and markets world class, high quality products that deliver on the beauty needs of Africans.  The Hair Institute was established to elevate the hairdressing industry in Nigeria. It achieves this through innovative education programs in the premises of the Institute, and field outreach programs such as the Hair Clinics.

Packaged as fun and relaxation for participants, the Hair Clinics feature different topics on hair care including hair types and texture, tips towards nourishing the hair as well as choosing the best products suitable  for the hair.  Presentations are delivered by professional hair instructors from the Recare Hair Institute.  The hair clinic which is completely free for interested participants is designed to empower the consumer with the understanding and confidence to take control of their hair, administer daily hair care needs and unleash to the fullest, the potentials of their natural beauty.

Speaking when the clinic berthed at the University of Lagos Campus, the head, field educator, Recare Cosmetics, Mr. Dan Komlan expressed the need for the youths to embrace and understand hair care knowledge as a means towards building their self-confidence. The participants which cut across both sexes and of diverse professions where lectured on the chemical constituents of hair care products, the advantages of herbal blended products on the African hair texture as well as daily routine on hair maintenance. Also free hair texture analysis was conducted on interested participants using the Microscopic Hair Analyzer which is a computer-enabled system that is used to analyze the individual’s hair strand to determine its health. The result of the analysis enables the consumer to know the hair care products most suitable for their hair.

At the Palms Shopping Mall Lekki where the hair clinic was hosted in April, consumers with severely damaged hair and scalp irritation problems were offered diagnosis and ideal hair care products prescribed for them. One of the participants at the clinic confessed that the program has affected the way she handles her daily hair care needs. Being a skeptic she confessed, she just attended the seminar out of curiosity when one of her friends was raving about it and she has been delighted at the very simple techniques she has picked up on how to nourish the hair.  To her every woman deserves to spend some time on herself, so ladies should set aside a part of their time to attend this wonderful program. “And the best part of the deal? It doesn’t cost a penny”, she said excitedly.

The Recare Hair Clinic program has also been hosted at the Redeemer’s University, Touch of Glamour Salon as well as the Recare Hair Institute located at Muri Okunola Street, Victoria Island. The clinic is organized twice monthly and participation is free. Further information about up-coming clinics is posted on the institute’s website @ www.recareinstitute.com.
