About Voices in Harmony
Founded in 2006 and based in San Jose, California, Voices in Harmony is an award-winning, all volunteer, 90+ voice male chorus and is known for its a cappella harmonies and musical excellence. Under the masterful direction of Dr. Greg Lyne, Voices in Harmony has rapidly become one of the finest a cappella choruses in the world and after only two years after their formation, earned a 3rd Place Bronze Medal at the 2008 International Choral Competition of the Barbershop Harmony Society held in Nashville last summer.
A 501 (C)(3) organization, the chorus is self-sustaining through gifts, performance fees, admissions to shows, and sales of recordings and merchandise.
Voices in Harmony’s first recording, Now & Then - Popular American Music from Six Decades of Classics, was released in the fall of 2008. The recording was nominated for the Best Barbershop Album category of The Contemporary A Cappella Society’s 2009 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (The CARA’s).
