PCG Survey Data FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Jun 28, 2009 – A consumer website dedicated to covering the Cash for Clunkers bill released a new study that shows that Toyota leads consumer interest for new car purchases that qualify for a CARS credit.
Since data collection started, Toyota has remained the leading brand on the http://www.CashForClunkersFacts.com website for new car interest. The data is based on consumer requests to have a local car dealer call them about purchasing a new car with a qualifying trade-in with the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS). The top five most popular brands are Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet and Nissan. Tim Martell, Internet Marketing Director for Woburn Toyota in Massachusetts commenting on the data said: "This confirms what we have been seeing at our Boston area store. When the President signed the Cash for Clunkers bill last week, we experienced a surge in consumer calls and interest that has not slowed. We expect to sell alot of cars over the next three months. In fact, customers have requested that we start a call-up list to advise them as soon as the NHTSA gives us the green light to sell cars." Consumers who qualify their clunker on the official NHTSA website http://cars.gov can call any local car dealer who registers on the cars.gov website to participate in the program. Dealer registration has not yet started and the CARS program is slated to start in late July. Consumers do not have to register in advance for the CARS program, they just have to have a "clunker" that has a qualifying COMBINED mpg rating on http://fueleconomy.gov. Consumers are visiting www.cashforclunkersfacts.com to get updates on the program, ask questions and to express their opinions on the program on the website's "SPEAK UP" forum. Consumers Advised To Wait For July Dealer Incentives The CashForClunkersFacts.com website also provides a convenient way for consumers to request a local dealer contact them about their new car purchase and trade-in. Consumers are advised that car dealers will not be accepting trade-ins for the CARS program until the NHTSA officially starts the program. Consumers should also research manufacturer rebates and incentives that will be announced in early July. These manufacturer rebates may be combined with your CARS credit for additional discounts off MSRP. A summary of manufacturer rebates and incentives will be posted on www.cashforclunkersfacts.com as they are submitted to their editorial staff. This will allow consumers to have a one stop destination for comparing the combined savings they can realize with their new car purchase. # # # The Pasch Consulting Group is an Automotive SEO consulting company specializing in assisting car dealers reach consumers on the Internet.
