ALLEN, Texas – When the Allen Americans take to the ice in their inaugural season later this year, they will have a big supporter in the stands. “I am a big hockey fan,” said Joe Yannessa, owner of Solutions Automotive. “I grew up in Arizona and strangely enough started playing hockey in the desert more than 15 years ago. My parents were from Philadelphia so I grew up a big Flyers fan.”
Not only is he a huge sports fan with a strong connection to hockey, but he also supports the team for what it will mean for the growth and quality of life found in Allen.
“It will mean a lot to have this team come to Allen,” Yannessa said. “It brings a great building that will support other things as well as hockey. It also brings people from Plano, McKinney and Frisco to our area to enjoy the games and hopefully a great meal.”
