Pensacola Ice Flyers Pass 800 Season Ticket Sales

June 28, 2009 - PRLog -- “It is not about the commissioners requiring the team to sell 1250 season tickets or the league saying they have to have the final answers on playing before their deadline of July 15, it’s about implementing a business plan to operate the team. 1250 season ticket sales are where we need to be before group sales, walk-ups and corporate sales are counted. We realize these are tough times financially and many hockey fans and businesses are waiting to purchase their tickets. We need these people to come forward”.

For the next two weeks $25 will reserve a season ticket.


Here is Kerr’s Game Plan –
1.   We have almost 300 individual season ticket holders both corporate and individuals and we need them to find a friend or business associate to purchase one more ticket. Season ticket holders that purchase or sell one more ticket will become a “Friend of Hockey” and their name will be permanently engraved on a plaque that will be displayed at the Civic Center along with Founders Club Members. This will result in 300 more sales
2.   Opening Day Game Jerseys – This is a one-time opportunity to get an opening day jersey from a new team. Game day jerseys have been auctioned off for thousands of dollars during the season. This jersey could be the best.  The first 20 businesses or individuals that help sell ten season tickets will be guaranteed the opening home game jersey. Each person or business representative will draw a players name before the home opener and would receive the jersey from the player, with photograph and autograph at the conclusion of the game. This will result in 200 more season tickets. People interested in getting these jerseys should email

The support of the people buying the season tickets, our corporate sponsors, and of course the dedicated efforts of Roy Wilkerson, President of the Ice Flyers Boosters Club and their many volunteers that have spend endless hours at The Cordova Mall, Walmart and Pelican Baseball Team who have allowed  us to use their facilities. The press, especially Bill Vlona and Jason Blakeney from the News Journal and Dan Shugart from Wear TV. Radio stations Cat Country, News Radio 1620, TK 101 and WPNN CNN 79 Radio for running our promotions.

To be a champion a team has to be able to finish. Our game plan is sound and we are very close. Ticket Sales for the next two weeks before the July 15 SPHL deadline are the most important to our playing this year.
