Longines New Watches 2009-All in One Review

Here today we will introduce four major models that shown at the Baselworld 2009: Column Wheel Chronograph, New Admiral watch, Les Elegantes 2009, new Grande Vitesse chronograph 24h and Longines Weems . Longines Column Wheel Chronograph

As hinted by the name, this new chronograph adopts column wheel design to power mechanical system. As early as 1878, Longines watch already used this technical design. However, after 1947, Longines failed to put it into the market with high performance-to-price ratio due to the high technical cost. ETA specially designed a brand-new automatic chronograph movement-L688.2 for the Longines Column Wheel Chronograph. The movement is 30mm at diameter and has 27 jewels. In addition, Longines watch-maker design retro lines for this chronograph.

Longines Les Elegantes 2009

Longines Weems 2009

This masculine watch is to pay tribute to the legendary Weems who invented the navigation systems. It is activated by an automatic movement with 46-hour power reserve. The rose gold case and classic Arabic numerals fully reflect the elegant attitude that cherished by Longines.

Longines  Admiral 2009

This is the first Admiral model that has a second time zone on its ceramic bezel (shown as the picture). Two other new models are also created to enrich the Admiral collection. Other is a chronograph with tachometer display. The other is a 24-hour chronograph with a “second-time-zone”
