The Canada Pavilion at the 2009 Calgary Stampede offers interactive play and learn

The Canada Pavilion, located in Exhibit Hall A of the BMO Centre, is the flagship of the federal government, and a treasure chest of hands’ on fun at this year’s Calgary Stampede. Informative and interactive displays representing ten federal departments offer a glimpse of what our government is doing to preserve our unique culture while enhancing the health and well-being of Canada’s people, environment and economy.

This is what is at the Pavilion for this year's Stampede:

Step into a two-man bobsleigh, see a Paralympic sit-ski, and view the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch at the 2010 Winter Games Federal Secretariat kiosk.
 
Find out about Canada's role in the Afghanistan effort, learn about its people, and projects our government is supporting to help their needs. Record a message to our troops.

Canada’s Capital Salute to Winter provides a virtual experience of the Rideau Canal Skateway, plus interactive stations celebrating famous landmarks and treasures.

The Canada Pavilion brings together many departments and agencies providing Canadians with one-stop access to information on government services. The Canada Pavilion plays a key role in helping the government of Canada address the information needs of Canadians with the Canada Site Canada.gc.ca, the toll free information number 1 800 O-Canada, and the Service Canada Centres.
