FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Jun 26, 2009 – AlwaysHD, the online marketplace for high definition (HD) stock footage, this month became an official supplier for Footage.net, the premier stock, archival, and news footage search engine. Through the partnership, select footage from AlwaysHD’s contributing cinematographers and computer graphics artists now are available for purchase alongside clips from Footage.net’s 30 other stock footage suppliers, which include ABC News, BBC Motion, and Getty Images.

"To be among Footage.net's much acclaimed footage suppliers is, unto itself, a great honor and distinction that validates the quality of the clips AlwaysHD provides," said AlwaysHD President Carleton Wilkins. “Additionally, the partnership opens up a new distribution channel for our content library, enabling AlwaysHD to reach customers who depend on Footage.net for professional stock footage.”

Founded in 2006, AlwaysHD aggregates high definition video and computer-generated clips from more than 300 contributing artists in an effort to promote the availability and implementation of high definition, 2K, and 4K into the production world. Through a robust Web interface and contributor tools available at www.alwayshd.com, cinematographers can quickly and efficiently broadcast and repurpose their work, while producers can search, purchase, and download professional video content from anywhere in the world. Most footage is sold "royalty-free" to alleviate the issues with rights negotiation that often discourages producers from using stock footage.

Through the new partnership, the first-rate stock footage available at www.alwayshd.com also can be identified and purchased by the producers, editors, and other members of the entertainment industry currently using Footage.net to search for video stock footage. AlwaysHD’s high definition clips are a part of Footage.net’s searchable database, which comprises millions of clips spanning 13 content categories ranging from animation to sports to wildlife.

About AlwaysHD

AlwaysHD is a community marketplace focused on the creation and widespread distribution of professional video footage, providing the technology for cinematographers to receive revenue through the sale of clips from their pre-existing body of work and a resource where buyers are assured quality, affordable high definition, 2K, and 4K video footage.

AlwaysHD was originally conceived in 2004 as a digital asset management system for MudBrick Media, an educational production company. AlwaysHD is proud to serve a distinguished client list including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, HBO, and Saatchi & Saatchi. For more information, visit www.alwayshd.com.

About Footage.net

Footage.net is the world’s largest non-competitive aggregator of stock footage databases, allowing footage researchers to search over 30 of the world’s top collection from a single site. Since 1994, Footage.net has been the non-fiction production industry’s most comprehensive resource for serious footage research, providing access to the largest roster of stock, archival and news footage databases on the Internet.

Footage.net exists to help footage researchers find the right motion content, and provide its content suppliers with leads and customers. Since its launch over 14 years ago, Footage.net has built a core constituency of stock footage researchers and continues to add new registered users at an average rate of 400 per month. The Footage.net platform has been fully redesigned and now offers a more robust search function, better organizational tools and the ability to add preview clips to the database.
