Standing out among some of the loudest cars on the planet will be a one-of-a-kind themed vehicle designed in tribute to Illinois-native Cheap Trick with a “shout out” to the 30-year-old Dream Police album. With so many aftermarket accessories including strobe lights, sirens, fog machines and Cheap Trick graphics you’ll swear it’s 1979 all over again.
The Dream Police Tactical Vehicle is designed with a heart-pounding sound system from MB Quart including six subwoofers, twelve speakers and five amplifiers. If that isn’t enough, a 32” monitor rises out of the truck bed revealing the mega-popular Rock Band game that may just transform even the most timid into a Rock Star wannabe.
Automotive accessory manufacturer, RealWheels Corporation, is the proud owner of the vehicle and worked closely with the entire Band to ensure that everything down to the Rick Nielsen’s signature Hamer guitar holding shotgun position in the vehicle is accurately represented.
According to Marketing Director, Jhan Dolphin at RWC, “This has been an incredible year for Cheap Trick. They are currently performing the title song to the new Transformers movie as they begin a 40-city summer tour with Def Leppard and Poison. Their new Album “The LATEST” comes out next week, and plans have been finalized for the band to perform a SGT. Peppers - Beatles tribute at the Las Vegas Hilton this September for 9 nights.”
Maxxsonics’ Car Audio Showdown is a two-day dB Drag competition issuing trophies, cash prizes and valuable dB Drag points. The events begin at 11 am both days.
