Victoria BC is known for its world renowned attractions like the Butchart Gardens, The Fairmont Empress Hotel, Beacon Hill Park (great for the kids with a playground, petting zoo and water park) and the Royal BC Museum. Victoria BC is also your gateway to many ecotourism opportunities as well. Hiking galore, our famous West Coast Trail is a challenging 5-7 day hike along beaches, estuaries, several ladders, cable cars and a small ferry ride to complete. Tofino and the Long beach area, endless miles of beaches, eagles, whales and bears, Oh My!
Downtown Victoria BC is full of great world class shopping as well as quaint little souvenir shops, art galleries and eclectic restaurants. The Victoria causeway or inner harbour is a great hub for travellers looking to enjoy some leisure time. Street performers, artist and buskers line the causeway and provide an atmosphere relaxation and fun, you can spend hours meandering around the inner harbour. There is a great little Victoria BC Tourism centre at the north end of the causeway at the intersection of Government St. and Wharf St. where there is attendants eager to answer all your questions about Victoria BC as well as maps and other literature is available there.
