June 25, 2009 - PRLog -- [Atlanta, GA] Downtown Locker Room (DTLR), Atlanta Falcons players Chauncey Davis and Ovie Mughelli along with Baltimore Ravens Daniel Wilcox will host the 3rd Annual DTLR Football Clinic on July 11, beginning 9a.m. at the James R. Hallford Football Stadium located at 3789 Memorial College Ave, in Clarkston. This free one-day event will include comprehensive NFL football drills and conditioning for student-athletes ages 12 to 17, a recruiting seminar for parents and student athletes, and lunch.

“The players and DTLR realize that sports is a very big part of recreational activities and often time the dreams of many urban youth,” said Sherri Goodall, Community Outreach Manager for DTLR.  “We thought it would only make sense to connect sports, professional athletes and DTLR’s community efforts together in a way that would benefit everyone involved.”

The day's activities will also include a warm up, agility drills, offensive fundamentals and defensive fundamentals broken down by position, seven-on-seven passing drills, an overview of the college recruiting process by a representative from The Athletic Group, and a question and answer session with Davis, Mughelli and Wilcox.

“This camp offers students a unique hands-on training experience that will expose them to the same techniques and drills I used on the college level and that I use today in the NFL,” added Davis. “It remains a priority for me and my foundation to give back and make a positive impact in the lives of young people.”

Student athletes interested in participating can register online at DTLR.com or register the day of the camp at 8am-9am. Additional camp partners include The Athletic Group and Atlanta's Y-Sportz Magazine.

“The community of Atlanta is important to me. Not just because I play here, but because I have a vested interest in children and their success,” added Mughelli. “I support DTLR because it helps children and the lessons they learn are invaluable.”

Media interviews with all participating NFL players, sponsors and corporate representatives are scheduled for 8a.m.-9a.m., noon-1p.m. and 3p.m. the day of the camp.
