Cheating the Ferryman of Death: UK Author and Theorist will Lecture in NYC This August

June 23, 2009 - PRLog -- This August,  members of Metro New York  book and academic groups,  the public, and the press, will have the chance to hear noted speaker and author Anthony Peake, from Wirral England ,  speak on his "Cheating the Ferryman"  thesis.  The name refers to Charon,  the boatman of Roman mythology,   who ferries us across the River Styx to the realm of the dead.  According to Peake,  something within the structures of our own brains and consciousness allows us to cheat this ferryman,  so that we never arrive at the land of death.  Fusing classical philosophy,  quantum physics,  cognitive psychology,  and neuroscience,  Peake delivers a thrilling theory which is stunning in its conclusions.  

He is author of 2 globally acclaimed books,  "Is There Life After Death?:  The Extraordinary Science of What Happens When We Die"  (Chartwell Books,  2006)  and "The Daemon:  A Guide to Your Extraordinary Secret Self" (Arcturus Publishing,  2008)  and a professional member of the International Scientific and Medical Network.  He has presented hundreds of lectures across Great Britain,  as well as numerous radio and web cast across the globe.
