Other automakers included in this segment were brands like Honda, Toyota and Nissan. Hyundai was also ranked fourth in the overall industry, just behind Lexus, Porsche and Cadillac.
J.D. Power & Associates also recognized specific models from the Hyundai brand for top ranks in their respective segments. The all new Genesis was ranked first in the “all new redesigned” segment, creating a tie with Lexus. Elantra placed first as well in the compact car segment, beating out models like Prius, Corolla and Civic, while ranking in the top 10 industry leading models. The Accent ranked 2nd in the sub-compact segment, missing 1st by only one point.
