Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has launched the iCount Minilab, the latest addition to its proven iCount range of contamination monitoring instruments. The integrated oil testing system enables the quality of hydraulic oil to be analysed quickly, simply and accurately, improving plant productivity, safety and reducing operating costs by extending the life of oil and filters.
The iCount Minil-ab is the only industrially designed, self-contained unit of its kind, and can be used on-site wherever and whenever it is needed. The Mini-lab comprises an iCount bottle sampler mounted onto a robust trolley, along with a pump, chamber, data processing unit and printer, providing everything that is needed for testing in one integrated unit.
While plants are typically reliant upon external laboratories for hydraulic oil testing, taking hours, days or longer to produce results, the iCount Mini-lab enables samples of oil to be analyzed within minutes in industry standard bottles. Production staff can take samples from around the plant and have them anaylzed centrally, making the solution extremely cost effective and space efficient. The fully automated system is simple to operate, featuring a large back lit colour touchscreen, which is used both to control the instrument and view results.
The iCount Mini-lab uses innovative laser particle detection technology to produce fast, accurate, repeatable and reproducible results, offering calibration by recognized online methods supported by international standards organisation procedures, such as ISO11171/11943, ISO4402, NAS1638 and AS4059.
The system is ideal for a wide range of applications where hydraulic oils are used, from agricultural and construction equipment, to commercial vehicle fleets and off-highway vehicles.
