Sunnyvale AYSO Fall Soccer Welcomes New Sponsors

PR Log (Press Release) – Jun 22, 2009 – Sunnyvale, CA.--Over 800 children, kindergarten through high school, played in Sunnyvale's AYSO program last fall, and the pace of enrollment for fall 2009 looks like it will exceed last year's attendance numbers. The Sunnyvale AYSO currently has the lowest fees of any region in the area and of any Youth Sport League in the South Bay.

Currently 90% of player registration costs go directly to player development and participation costs. "Our goal is to keep registration costs as low and reasonable as possible to make our program affordable," says Darin Roland, this year's League Commissioner. "Our goal is to provide all training free of charge. And our ability to meet this goal is dependent upon the success of our sponsorship program."

A rising part of expenses associated with the AYSO program cover the cost of equipment to run a comprehensive program, plus the increasing insurance costs for each AYSO player. Sunnyvale AYSO subsidizes these costs through player registration ($85), and annual corporate sponsorships ($250). "The corporate sponsors allow us to offer a number of scholarships for some of the families least able to afford our $85 fee," said Mr. Roland.

AYSO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and sponsorship donations are tax deductible. Sponsors also get ongoing visibility  on the AYSO44 website, and continuous promotion is the regular newsletters that are sent out to AYSO families throughout the year.
