June 22, 2009 - PRLog -- Representatives of Community Care College lead a breakout session at the Career College Association (CCA) Annual Conference and Expo in Orlando, FL on Monday June 15th.  The presentation, entitled “It Takes a Community,” focused on a variety of innovative initiatives Community Care College has implemented over the years to boost student completion rates.

“We are only one of a handful of schools selected to present information at this event,” says Jamie Kidder, Director of Student Services at Community Care College and one of the key presenters. “We were selected because of our overwhelming success in addressing the challenges that students face that interfere with their completion. We were excited to offer other conference participants practical retention tools that they can put into effect immediately to increase graduation rates.”

Assisting Ms. Kidder with the presentation was Dr. Kevin Kirk, President of Community Care College and its non-main campuses Clary Sage College and Oklahoma Technical College. Dr. Kirk is also the chair of the retention committee at the three-campus college empire.

“Our talk focused on the reasons most students drop their program and then present strategies for tracking and resolving those issues as they arise,” says Dr. Kirk. “Ultimately, it is our hope that we can help other schools address this problem with the same success we’ve enjoyed over the past few years.”

Community Care College (http://www.CommunityCareCollege.edu) is a licensed and accredited institution offering programs in Healthcare and Business disciplines.  Community Care College serves as the main campus to Clary Sage College (http://www.ClarySageCollege.com) and Oklahoma Technical College (http://www.OklahomaTechnicalCollege.com) which all operate under the same ownership.
