Organizers of the Bash at the Bend-Tennis Charity Event win City Finals in T2 Tennis

PR Log (Press Release) – Jun 21, 2009 – Boake, Jonas and many others, through Mission Grounds and Horseshoe Bend Country Club, are collaborating on a major tennis charity event – The Bash at the Bend, to be held August 14th through 16th, 2009. The event will host several great tennis exhibitions featuring, among others, former #1 player in the world - Mats Wilander and former Georgia Bulldog and French Open finalist, Mikael Pernfors, along side an array of area professionals and other celebrities. This three day event also gives you the opportunity to play with these great players or with several local top notch teaching professionals. About Mission Grounds: MG exists to help homeless children and orphans. It generates money to help these children through the sale of a great coffee. None of the volunteers receive a salary and there is very little overhead. Hence 100 percent of the profits are donated to charity. Over the past 2 years, Mission Grounds has been helping orphans in China, Russia, Africa and Venezuela. MG has also been helping homeless children around the metro Atlanta-area through the donations of food, clothes, coats, shoes, books and book bags. Mission Grounds has sponsored many neighborhood collection drives for clothes, shoes and books and also through a large back to school drive sponsored by Kroger Grocery Stores. Our goal with the Bash at the Bend Charity event is to generate enough funds to establish a program that teaches homeless single moms a trade like “cooking” or basic office computer skills- so they can acquire meaningful & productive employment.
