Jun 19, 2009 – Colorado Springs, CO - Ask a seasoned software tester to name some of the experts in the field, and the name Jerry Weinberg is sure to come up. Weinberg's computer career started at IBM in 1956, where he was the Manager of Operating Systems Development for Project Mercury - the United States' first human spaceflight program. He has also authored or co-authored more than 30 books, with his own book The Psychology of Computer Programming being the most widely recognised.
Now Mr. Weinberg has teamed up with the Association for Software Testing to offer an all-day tutorial at the upcoming CAST 2009 conference being held in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 13-16, 2009. The title of the tutorial is Ensuring Testing's Proper Place In The Organisation, and will focus on the importance of software testing within an organisation.
Points covered in Jerry Weinberg's tutorial will include a demonstration of the value of software testing and how it compares to the cost; an explanation of how software testers can learn to better communicate with executives within their organisation;
and will teach software testers how to evaluate risks in software testing, and communicate those risks to their superiors.
CAST 2009 is the fourth annual Conference of the Association for Software Testing, and is taking place at the Antlers Hilton in Colorado Springs, Colorado, July 13th through the 16th.
