Tropical Daze Adds Hawaiian
Luau to Weekend Festivities

THOUSAND OAKS, CALIF.--A mouthwatering Hawaiian dinner buffet and one-hour luau show presented by "Na Hoaloha O Polynesia" has been added to Tropical Daze, a weekend tropical festival on Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25 at the Thousand Oaks Community Park (2525 Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks). The luau is set for Saturday, July 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

"Talented musicians, hula dancers, drummers and a fire knife dancer will give luau goers the chance to experience the islands of Polynesia," says Randy Strong, Tropical Daze organizer. "It's quite a show for the whole family and one you would expect to see while vacationing in Hawaii."

The buffet dinner includes a choice of barbecued beef, chicken, short ribs or chicken katsu. Tickets are $18 per person (kids ages five and under are free). Tickets can only be purchased in advance by going to www.tropicaldaze.org.

The Hawaiian luau is part of a two-day festival that features live surf, Hawaiian, Caribbean, Jamaican and Reggae music, children's entertainment, arts and craft booths and tropical food. Bands include "California Dreamin', A Musical Journey Through the Golden State," "Urban Dread," "Trinidad Steel Drum Band," "Hula Dawgs and "Togen DaikoTaiko Drums." Festival hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., both days. Admission is free. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning.
