LENNY AND MIKE ROBERTS RETURN THE ORIGINAL FLORIDA POKERS TO NATIONAL RECOGNITION.
Mike Roberts founded the Florida Pokers in 1990 and ran the program through 2005. Lenny Roberts took the reigns in 2006 but re-established the program for the younger generation beginning with an 8u team. Currently there is an 8u and 9u team. Lenny has returned the program to National Recognition within the first 3 years and has the program ranked among the Nations Elite Programs according to many nationally recognized websites.
Sometimes Imitated but Never Duplicated - Any other Pokers program run by an individual not named Roberts is and never was associated with this prestigious program in any way, shape or form.
“Baseball is the Name…Life Education is the Game.” This was and still is The Original Florida Pokers Mission Statement. Mike Roberts had a vision, dedication, and drive necessary to build an Elite youth travel baseball program that is still recognized and respected in amateur youth baseball circles across the USA today. Mike Roberts believed in teaching the Game of Life through baseball while other programs measure success by wins and loses.

Mike Roberts was extremely competitive on the field, but the wins (and there were many) and losses were a by-product of the hard work and discipline he instilled in those kids. Through his philosophy, he was able to achieve his initial baseball goals of:
• Establishing a program where serious baseball players could play a very competitive schedule and to help as many kids as possible go on to play college baseball and continue their education.
With the help of some truly great area baseball coaches, Mike Roberts and the Original Florida Pokers helped over 400 kids mature and earn a college degree, not to mention some Original Florida Pokers are still playing in the Major Leagues today.
Since 2006, The Original Florida Pokers and its wonderful reputation have been passed down to Mike Roberts’ son, Lenny Roberts. Lenny Roberts has assembled an outstanding group of Student-Athletes who are being taught the same life and baseball lessons that have been taught to the Florida Pokers since 1990. Mr. Lenny Roberts’ players come from various cities and are being coached by the assistance of Former Major Leaguers, College Coaches and Players. The vision holds the same values as before: Continue playing baseball and further your education.
