Donny Blake Stars in Southwest Bank Commercials

June 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Donny Blake, a local talent and celebrity, currently stars in the Southwest bank commercials everyone has been seeing on tv. Donny was spotted again tonight at the bistro sage at Union Station while performing stand up comedy. Donny, a McCluer highschool graduate, and alumni of Culver Stockton college, began as a funny and quirky host at TGI Fridays on Olive. he brought light and passion top everyone who crossed his path,a nd eventually he bgan spreading that cheer by twisting balloons at area TGI fridays restaurants. he did this for about two years, performing at various functions such as the annual Ford Motor Plant Christmas party, the Plaza Frontenac fashion shows, kids partys, and the annual Kirkwood Green Tree festival. Donny started twisting  at area Chevy's Fresh Mex restaurants. Donny had worked as a clown, mainly Zoloft the Clown and handlebar the Clown, back when he had his world famous Charlie Chaplain style mustache. he has since moved onto mutton chops aka side burns, which he is greatly recognized for in his commercials for Southwest bank. Donny had been local producer and director for The Big Brother and itchy show, based on Channel 18 which airs at 12 midnight on Friday nights. Donny also helped produce Monsterpeice Theater, the highly acclaimed horror series. Donny is also producer of Mosquito Kingdom, a local film that is indie in style and was submitted for acceptance into the Cannes film festival, and stars local talent and celebrities. Donny is currently involved with The improv trick, owned by Saint Louis talent Bill chott, star of The Ringer and Wizards of Waverly Place. Donny brings his vision and silliness everwhere he goes and is considered a great local asset and talent to the Saint Louis talent scene. Donny is freinds with local celebrity Beatle Bob, and has been known to drive him around on occasion in his car in exchange for a smile or a free ticket to a show. Donny has been freidns with local bands, such as the Schwag and The Upright Animals. Donny is friends with none other than Brett Steen, photographer for Alive magazine and owner of art gallery Avante, which features live music and a new artists' work every Friday night. Avante is Located on Manchester Road in Maplewood near Schlafly. Look for Donny and look for more great talent coming from his direction and from his local celebrity friends. And you might just catch him at The Improv Trick, Avante, in his commercials, or at The Stables, where the ImprovTrick sometimes performs.
