Personally, I thought this was kinda’ funny. lol
And I was very impressed with his obvious hand-to-eye dexterity.
Concerning that same incident, PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, lambasted President Obama saying, “We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals,” PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich said Wednesday. “We believe that people, where they can be compassionate, should be, for all animals.”
Now…hold up! WTF?! PETA has a problem with the killing of a fly? Well, now I have a problem with PETA!
Where was PETA when I ate that glorious slab of cow-meat last night for dinner. There were at least 20 other offenders with me as we enjoyed a meal of steak, vegetables, and rice almondine. The bacon I had for breakfast certainly didn’t come from a plant either.
So why is this hypocritical organization insisting on fostering it’s unrealistic and inane opinions on everyone else? I say that PETA is just another front organization to allow us to be stripped of more of our rights.
You have a right to own a pet and because PETA didn’t give you this right they shouldn’t be able to take it away - but they can.
You have a right to eat animals if you choose, neither PETA nor the government gave you that right so they shouldn’t be able to take it away!
And you have a right to kill pesky insects without PETA banging on your front door demanding that you cease and desist.
While they say they stand for more humane treatment of animals, they are wasting the money you donated to them complaining about a dam fly that nobody (except them) cares about.
While they say they want to bring about a kinder treatment of animals, they NEVER attack the big poultry, beef, pig, and fisheries operating in the United States.
NOT ONCE!
Their entire agenda is a hypocritical one which only exists to bug you and me.
The money being made on slaughtering animals for food in this country is astronomical - why are they not addressing this problem?
Monsanto recently developed their Bovine Growth Hormone which causes sores on the udders of dairy cows - and PETA does not have a problem with this. (Just FYI, the scabs they scrap off of those sores is used to make certain vaccines).
The new method of growing chickens for food requires penning them in 1X1 mesh cells so that for their entire lives they never get to move their own bodies more than a few inches. I can only imagine how much torture that must inflict. Yet, PETA doesn’t have a problem with it.
PETA only has a problem with the treatment of animals when it allows them a chance to influence how you and I live our daily lives. And every dollar you donate to them gives them a bit more control over you. They don’t give a cats crap about animals!
It would truly make my day if President Obama had replied, “Yes, I smacked him and I will smack him again if he rises from the dead and starts bugging me again…and I highly suggest you get off my back about it.”
Yeah, that would really make my day.
