Starting out in a small studio in 1998, WXP Games started designing an engine that ran on an SGI Onyx for a Disney LBE ride called "Cyber Space Mountain", with some savings they started pounding the pavement to sell their dream game.
After the team set out with some incredible technology, they got a deal to create an OEM game demo for NVIDIA entitled "Dagoth Moor Zoological Gardens" and blew away the skeptics by the incredible graphics for that time (the G-Force card was in its infancy).
Hell bent on selling their game idea entitled "Experience"
At this time things changed, they created a self funded franchise called "Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball" with some partners they met. The game met with great reviews and sold over a million units in all, until the relationship went sour. "We learned a lot about how to create a game in house with private funding, and we decided we could apply this knowledge and get back to what we set out to do, create our own fantasy game franchise..."
Time will tell whether their endeavor will pay off, but the fact they reached this huge milestone is a mark on the history of Next-Gen gaming. With only about 9 people and a tiny budget, they are on track for release this fall. Stay tuned at http://exod.wxpgames.com to follow the team's success!
