Got Gloveglide® In Your Medical Office?

PR Log (Press Release) – Jun 26, 2009 – RENO, NV – June – High Desert Pharmaceutics introduces its new product “GloveGlide®”. In addition to its ease in donning, GloveGlide® creates a temporary protective film over the hands and fingers which acts as a moisturizer, thereby maintaining the natural lipids and moisture in the skin during and after glove wear. It is hypoallergenic, latex friendly, and promotes actual healing by counteracting the constant hand-washing and especially the negative dehydrating effects of current alcohol-based hygiene products.

The patent pending product GloveGlide® contains no water (is anhydrous) and is unlike other disinfecting hand gels which are used in lieu of water and soap when hand washing is inconvenient or not possible.  Because it is anhydrous, it provides emollient and moisturizing qualities to be achieved on the skin and especially for the cuticles during glove wear.  The majority of healthcare workers have the continuous complaint that mandated hand washing in combination with glove wear produces dry compromised skin and cracked cuticles.

The company is introducing this unique product to the medical market. It is presently only available through the manufacturer’s website www.gloveglide.com as a promotional use in the medical field. However, GloveGlide® will be made available through distributors in the near future. The company has plans to introduce other sizes.
