Baltimore Fashion Week always try to provide support for the local community and those helping the Baltimore City community. Carolyn Ellis, Publisher and Owner of RazorEdge Magazine is not only a local magazine owner, but also a local hero who was selected by the Alpha Zeta Chapter as the Woman of the Year in Business (1994) and being inducted in the National Register’s Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals (2004).
Other honors include being a recipient of the Governor's Citation (1991), a Senatorial Resolution, Mayor's Citizen Citation (1990), Special Recognition - Douglass High School Alumni Association - (1992), the Navy's Special Achievement Award, 14 Carat Gold Award (Travis Winky) (1998). She has just been nominated to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Douglass High School Alumni Association, Inc.
Ellis had a distinguished career in the federal government before she retired on medical disability. However, retirement did not stop Ellis from starting a new business. She founded Production Supreme, a graphic design company that led her to creating RazorsEdge Magazine, a quarterly lifestyle periodical about beauty, hair, and fashion for readers in Baltimore, Maryland; Washington, DC; Richmond, Virginia; New York, Atlanta, and Dallas.
