University of Phoenix - Des Moines Campus to Hold Commencement

Graduates from Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota will participate in University of Phoenix -Des Moines campus commencement exercises on Saturday, June 27th. The featured speaker is ADP executive and University of Phoenix alumnus Julie Fitzpatrick.

June 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Julie Fitzpatrick knows the ups and downs – the challenges and the successes that are a part of earning a college degree as an adult learner.  She knows the frustration of applying for a job, but not being considered for it, because she didn’t have a degree.  And she knows the self-satisfaction and other rewards that accompany a degree from University of Phoenix.  Fitzpatrick, who works for ADP, Inc. as a Human Resources Director-Business Partner, will share her story with the graduates who will participate in this year’s commencement ceremonies from University of Phoenix, Des Moines campus on Saturday, June 27, 2009.  
   More than 81 graduates participating in Saturday’s commencement ceremonies are earning associate, bachelors and master’s degrees.  The event is being held at Hoyt Sherman Place, 1501 Woodland Avenue beginning at 10:00 a.m.
   “This is a wonderful occasion for our graduates,” said Chris Mason, the Campus Director at University of Phoenix Des Moines campus.  “Watching individuals who are celebrating a major life accomplishment is one the greatest parts of being involved with this great University.”
   This graduating class represents residents of the greater Des Moines metropolitan area as well as Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Sioux City, Fort Dodge, among others.  A complete listing of the graduates is listed below.
