7TH HEAVEN & LIFTED LOGIC ANNOUNCE ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP FOR FREE 4TH OF JULY COMMUNITY CONCERT  

Retail store teams up with design studio to bring dozens of local music groups and restaurants to Troost Avenue for free community event.    

(Kansas City, MO) June 17th, 2009 -- The second annual Taste of Troost Festival aims to please local ears and stomachs with rock, rap, jazz, and reggae acts and variety of local cuisine July 4th.

Presented by renowned Kansas City retail store 7th Heaven in partnership with locally based graphic design and marketing agency Lifted Logic, the popular day long festival returns to 7621 Troost Avenue July 4th with a variety of local musicians, businesses, and restaurants, and free fun for all lasting from 11 am until 8 pm.  

This year's eclectic musical lineup will include rock bands Making Movies, Kick Kick, and Melodie, reggae groups SeedLove, and Jahration, local jazz legend Max Groove, and MCs Pittsburgh Filthy, Ballstar, K- Dean, Miss G, Fierce, Cash Image, Young Devi, Skiem Hiem, Block Life, Rappin Twan, Sliccs Gotcha, and Ron Ron.  Kansas City's own underground rap legend Rich The Factor will headline the evening's festivities.  

Afforable culinary treats will be offered by a variety of local restaurants and catering services, including Jamaican G's Cuisine, Papa Lews, Waldo Pizza, Mad Jacks Seafood, Bonheur Raw Foods, Grit 'N Gravy Catering, and many more, and there will be plenty of cold drinks on hand to help patrons beat the heat.  

The KCMO fire department will be on the scene with one of their trucks to entertain children and adults alike, and there will be an airbrush artist available for everything from customizing shoes and clothing to painting faces and bodies.
