Sydney-based Matheson conceived the idea while in hospital for the birth of her son in 2006. Matheson drew on her own hospital experience and when compared to that of other mums, found a common theme; new mums are hungry and craving the foods they avoided during pregnancy.

Further research found a true lack of mum-focused and instantly gratifying gift options available.
