PR Log (Press Release) – Jun 16, 2009 – As part of his sprawling personal recording studio complex, Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus has once again retained the services of Carl Tatz Design LLC to implement a high performance media room that serves as the studio’s screening lounge. Five Sony 32” LCD monitors surround a 65” Runco plasma while an eleven foot Stewart Microperf screen drops down in front for the big picture. The 7.1 robust sound system is composed of JBL Synthesis speakers for the LCR and surrounds and six NHT subwoofers installed on isolated concrete mounts below the floor. Thirteen 200 Watt NHT mono block amplifiers provide the muscle to the system while processing is achieved using the Synthesis AV1 surround preamp/processor. Carl Tatz Design’s PhantomFocus SystemTM tuning protocol takes advantage of sixteen channels of powerful Digitool MX processors within two separate rack units.
